“Adopt a Grandparent” event at a local senior living facility in our community for Grandparent;s Day. We had the young kids from the elementary school, nearby, draw names for a senior in the facility. On the day of Grandparent’s day, they went on a field trip to the Senior Living Facility and spent the day with the senior who’s name that they chose. They spent the day doing crafts, playing games, watching movies, eating snacks, and just enjoying one another’s company. This was done in an act to assist in diminishing loneliness amongst the seniors.
