• Little things

I’ve told a number of volunteers, there are no small acts of kindness. A flower from a barista. A handwritten note for someone who may be carrying more than anyone can see. A few words offered to a community that has been asked, too often, to survive on too little tenderness.

I am grateful for the chance to give back even a fraction of what I once needed so badly to hear: that you matter, that you are not forgotten, that your life is worth gentleness, protection, and joy.

And more than anything, I am grateful for communities that keep choosing one another. Communities that show up, reach back, pass the light hand to hand, and make sure no one has to walk the hard parts alone.
